Driveclub PlayStation Plus Edition Finally Has a Release Date

The PlayStation Plus edition of Driveclub finally has a release date. The game will hit Sony's online store tomorrow, June 25.

"We’ve spent a long time preparing for this launch after some difficult and unexpected set-backs," Sony boss Shuhei Yoshida said in a post on PlayStation Blog. "To make absolutely certain that all players have the smoothest and most stable experience possible we are going to be duly cautious about how we release the game this time around."

All those with a PS Plus subscription will be able to download the game tomorrow and start playing the offline mode. As a precaution, Sony will be rolling out online access in an incremental process, adding new players over time.

Driveclub launched a good long while ago and suffered a number of issues at launch. As such, the PS Plus Edition was delayed. While it's a bit late at this point, at least Sony is making good on its promise.
