Sony Announces 1TB PlayStation 4

The fine folks over at Sony have just unveiled a new, 1TB-equipped version of the PlayStation 4.

By the end of the month, this new console will be available in Japan, followed thereafter by a release in the west. Specifically, the console will be available in Europe and PAL territories on July 15. We still don't have a confirmed North American release.

Not only does the system sport a larger hard drive, it is also said to be lighter and draw less power. Additionally, the console is completely matte.

This new model will be available in both black and white options and will be priced at $400.
