It's been over a decade since the last Toejam and Earl game, but it looks like the funky rap duo will soon makes its return thanks to a successful Kickstarter campaign.
Toejam and Earl: Back in the Groove has been funded after meeting its $400,000 goal. In typical Kickstarter fashion, a final push put it over the edge, as the campaign ends in just a day.
The upcoming sequel comes from Greg Johnson, one of the creators of Toejam and Earl. He's working on the new series entry with friends at developer Humanature Studios, and it looks like the game will take a new approach with randomly generated levels.
Only a PC release is currently planned for Toejam and Earl: Back in the Groove, but the Kickstarter campaign includes stretch goals for PS4, Xbox One, and Wii U. Those goals probably won't be met in such a short amount of time, but a fan can dream.
Humanature plans to release Toejam and Earl: Back in the Groove in November this year.
