Dead or Alive 6 Kasumi, March 2019 games

Dead or Alive 6 promises to revolutionize the franchise when it launches on March 1 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. This next main entry follows Kasumi as she retires from her ninja clan and chooses to live out the rest of her days in a remote mountain village. Things quickly change when she finds herself involved in a sinister plot hatched by a mysterious evil genius.

Newcomers are welcome, as Dead or Alive 6 will feature a Fatal Rush mode that has players perform combos simply by pressing certain buttons repeatedly. Other new mechanics include the Break Gauge, which builds up and allows fans to unleash powerful attacks, and the Fatal Reversal, which reverses opponents and stuns them before opening them up to a combo.

The fourth entry in the ToeJam and Earl series, titled ToeJam and Earl: Back in the Groove, will launch on March 1 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Developed by HumaNature Studios, a company founded by series creator Greg Johnson, the game will play similarly to the original entry on Sega Genesis. The franchise’s signature gameplay of searching and exploring on floating islands returns, though aspects from other games, like the rhythm-based Jam Out sessions, will be included. People from the ’90s may find Back in the Groove to be right up their alley.

Devil May Cry 5 Game Length, March 2019 games

Dante and Nero return when Devil May Cry 5 releases on March 8 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Taking place several years after the events of Devil May Cry 4, this sequel sees a man named V hire Dante in order to help him solve a number of demon attacks occurring all around the world. Meanwhile, Nero is on the hunt for a hooded figure that stole his Devil Bringer arm. Dante and Nero meet at the epicenter of the demon attacks and must work together to unravel the mystery behind this new plague.

Gameplay revolves around Nero’s prosthetic Devil Breaker arm, the likes of which can stop time and grab enemies from afar. Fans will able to play as Dante too, who will be equipped with his signature Rebellion blade and Sparda sword. Hopefully this entry will once again change the definition of fast-paced, stylish action when it launches soon.

If The Division‘s success serves any indication, Ubisoft may have another hit on its hands when The Division 2 releases on March 15 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Set in Washington D.C. seven months after its predecessor, the game will have players attempt to resolve a heated civil war between a group of peaceful survivors and a band of marauders. An emphasis will be placed on the title’s endgame, as fans of the original complained that the first game didn’t conclude in a meaningful way. Raids will be included too, the likes of which can be completed by up to eight players.

FromSoftware’s newest game, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, follows a shinobi named Sekiro who’s on a mission to rescue his lord from a samurai. Set during Japan’s Sengoku period, the title trades the Souls series’ RPG elements for gameplay that revolves around poise and balance. Players are tasked with tricking opponents in order to create openings for attack. Stealth sections will also be included to convey a proper shinobi experience. Fans of Onimusha will have to see whether or not the game lives up to their standards when it releases on March 22 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Judging from the franchise’s latest episode, Broken Toys, it’ll be interesting to see how The Walking Dead: The Final Season will wrap up Clementine’s story. Will the young woman meet a fate similar to that of her former companion, Lee, or will she continue to raise AJ in this post-apocalyptic world? Fans will know for sure when the fourth and final chapter, Take Us Back, releases on March 26 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Thankfully, there’s some time to catch up on prior episodes if one hasn’t already.

March 2019 games | Yoshi’s Crafted World

March 2019 games

Nintendo’s newest side-scrolling platformer, Yoshi’s Crafted World, is set to debut on March 29 exclusively for Nintendo Switch. Developed by the studio behind Kirby’s Epic Yarn and Yoshi’s Woolly World, the title will allow players to move Yoshi across a 2.5D plane, where they’ll be able to throw eggs to their heart’s content and interact with the foreground and background of almost every level. It’ll feature a two-player mode where each player takes control of his or her own Yoshi, too, thus doubling the amount of onscreen cuteness. Fans will soon be able to introduce their loved ones to Yoshi’s adorable antics wherever they may be. What more could they want in life?

As if one’s 2019 backlog couldn’t get worse, April promises the arrival of Mortal Kombat 11 and Days Gone, two titles that fans have been eagerly anticipating since their respective reveals. Thankfully, not too many video games are set to launch this summer. Of course, this could change in a blink of an eye once convention season begins anew. For now, fans will have to try their best to fit in all the gaming they can before another deluge of titles hit the market.
