Resistance: Burning Skies Announced for Vita

Sony's Gamescom press conference is already piling on the announcements. While Ubisoft have already detailed their Vita games, the Resistance franchise is getting some stage time at Sony's presser.

Resistance: Burning Skies will be a first-person shooter for PlayStation Vita, complete with dual analog sticks, weapon select wheel, touch screen grenade and melee controls, and tons of different weapons.

The on-stage demo began on the Ellis Island Research Facility in New York City. As boring as that setting may be for fans of First Person Shooters, the New York City of Resistance's alternate-reality 1950s will allow for quite a few changes in the landscape. Stay tuned for more information on Resistance: Burning Skies throughout Gamescom and as we come closer to release.
