The GameRevolution PS Vita review awarded the console an almost perfect score of 4.5/5, highlighting the “stunning OLED screen,” “console-quality gaming on the go,” “real analog sticks,” good build quality, and “strong software support out of the gate.”

Here’s a snippet from the GR review:

I see things going one of two ways for the PlayStation Vita, with little room in-between. It’s either going to succumb to smartphones as pundits are too quick to predict and never really take off, or it’s going to go for the complete surprise and become the new Game Boy, maybe even the Walkman of the 21st century that Sony hoped the PSP would be. It’s that good, but the competition is also that fierce.

Despite it having been eight years since the PlayStation Vita’s release, it’s still Sony’s latest handheld console. There has been no follow-up to the Vita, with Sony choosing to instead focus on its home consoles and virtual reality headset. With Nintendo making waves with its 3DS and Switch, perhaps the competition is just too stiff for Sony to make another investment into portable tech. Of course, that won’t stop Vita fans crossing their fingers for a PlayStation Vita 2!

Though the specs might seem a little outdated by today’s tech, the official feature breakdown is still an awesome reminder of what the Vita packed inside its tiny body. Watch it below:
