Linen is a vital crafting material obtained by processing Flax in Enshrouded. Flax is a blue flower found in the game. It becomes available in the mid-game after completing specific quests and unlocking the Hunter’s Hand Spindle crafting station. It is important cause it helps craft essential gear such as Gliders, Medium Backpack expansion, Mid game armor sets, and other items such as Big Fur Rug and Ranger gear sets.
How do you craft linen in Enshrouded?
Crafting Linen in Enshrouded requires two main steps: acquiring the Hunter’s Hand Spindle and gathering Flax.
Before you can craft linen, you must complete “The Hunter’s Hand Spindle” quest. This quest involves retrieving the Hunter’s hand spindle from a cave to the north of the Ancient Spire — Revelwood Fast Travel tower. Once you retrieve the spindle, place it in your base.
Flax is the raw material used to craft linen. You can find flax growing in the wild, primarily in the Revelwood region to the north of the starting area. Look for tall blue flowers scattered around the biome. You can also find flax farms in several villages in the region.
If you want a steady supply of flax, you can set up your own flax farm. To do this, you’ll need the Farmer and Alchemist in your base. Follow these steps to set up the farm:
- Craft a grinding stone from the Alchemist (requires 10 flintstones and 15 stones).
- Create bonemeal from animal bones at the grinding stone.
- Use bonemeal and dirt to create farm soil with the Farmer.
- Craft a seedbed (requires 10 wood logs, 2 metal scraps, and 10 farm soil).
- Plant flax seedlings in the seedbed and wait for them to grow.
Once you have flax, head to the Hunter’s hand spindle that you placed in your base. Interact with the spindle and select the option to craft linen. You’ll need 2 flax to craft 1 linen.
