Alan Wake 2 Does Logan Live or Die

Alan Wake 2: Is Logan Alive or Dead at the End?

One of many things the ending of Alan Wake 2 doesn’t make clear is whether or not Logan is alive or dead. In the reality created by “Return,” Logan drowned several years before the game’s events. The new ending to “Return” was supposed to “save everyone,” but when Saga calls Logan’s phone, it continues to ring until the credits roll, and we never see the outcome. So, did Saga and Alan’s attempt to save her fail, or was the original timeline restored?

Does Logan live in Alan Wake 2?

It’s implied that Logan is alive at the end of Alan Wake 2. Although she doesn’t pick up her phone when Saga calls her, the fact that it’s in service is a good indicator that she’s been restored to the original timeline.

We also didn’t get any hint that Alan and Saga’s changes to the ending of “Return” were only partially successful. From how the situation was described, it seems like the attempt was an all-or-nothing scenario. So, the fact that both Alex Casey and Alice Wake were alive at the end of the game makes it seem like Logan also survived.

More Alan Wake 2

More than likely, at the end of Alan Wake 2, Logan is living in Virginia with her father, David Woods. However, it’s not known yet what sacrifice, if any, Saga made to bring the revised conclusion of “Return” to pass. It’s possible that her relationship with David and her daughter may have changed for the worse. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait for the DLC to arrive before we get a full resolution.

So, Logan’s fate is unresolved. While her phone ringing suggests she might be alive, nothing is confirmed. The lack of clarity on whether the original timeline was restored or if Saga and Alan’s attempt fully succeeded leaves questions open.
