Alan Wake 2 Who is Sagas Dad Father

Alan Wake 2: Who is Saga’s Dad?

Saga’s dad is mentioned several times throughout Alan Wake 2, but there’s no confirmation of his identity. Obviously, Odin and Tor had issues with him in the past, and his disappearance has an air of mystery around it. However, we’re given several strong hints about who Saga’s father may be.

Who is Saga’s father in Alan Wake 2?

Alan Wake 2 Sagas Dad Mr Door

It’s heavily implied that Warlin Door is Saga Anderson’s father. Mr. Door is a unique entity that doesn’t have the same difficulty traveling through the Dark Place as everyone else. Instead, he seems to move from place to place without effort and implies. He also suggests he can visit locations beyond the Dark Place by using it as a conduit.

We can see that Saga shares similar abilities near the end of the game. When she ends up in the Dark Place, Sheriff Tim Breaker waits for her on a bench near the square. He hands her a manuscript page, which is written from Mr. Door’s perspective. It explains that Door isn’t bound by the rules Wake is and that he comes and goes as he pleases. He leaves the area via the door at the edge of the construction yard. Breaker tells Saga that he tried to take the same route, but it didn’t work. However, she was able to follow the same path as Door.

Furthering this connection is the fact that when Saga asks Tor about her father, he says, “some doors are better left closed.” We also learn from Breaker that there was a real Warlin Door that once lived in Bright Falls and that one day, he disappeared after being struck by a bolt of lightning. It’s implied that Odin and Tor played a key role in the disappearance of Saga’s dad, and it seems like more than a coincidence that Tor is named after the Norse god of thunder.

Hopefully, we’ll get confirmation about Saga’s dad in the Alan Wake 2 DLC or a future entry in the Remedy Entertainment Universe. For now, we’ll just have to keep hypothesizing.
