The Spiderman 2 Find Grandpa mission is one of handful of traditional side missions with a nontraditional objectives. It is not about fighting goons, but helping out the community. Here’s how to find Grandpa in Spiderman 2.

How to find Grandpa in Spiderman 2

To find Grandpa Earl in Spiderman 2 in the Find Grandpa side mission, you will have to follow his clues. Enlarge the photo and it will lead you to the above spot on the map. Check east of the fountain. There will be a letter and some flowers on a cement planter. Scan it with L2 and then press the Triangle button to pick it up.

This will take you to the Botanical Gardens to the above spot on the map. Go there and you will see an inhaler. Scan it with L2 again and then press Triangle to inspect it.

You will then have to isolate a compound by destroying certain atoms. Rotate the structure clockwise until you get to the same orientation as the above picture (it is not required, but makes them all easier to see). Then smash the atoms that are numbered in the above picture. The order does not matter, though. If you mess up, just press the Circle button to undo the last move.

Follow the newly formed trail of the white cloudy substance until you get to the above spot on the map. You can swing there, but just be sure to stay low to the ground so you can see the trail. Once you get there, you can talk to the old man to finish the mission.

The old man Earl talks about his love and gives Spiderman a chance to bond with his community. It’s not the most bombastic side quest, but it gives players a look at another side of the web-slinging hero.
