Assassin’s Creed Mirage multiplayer would enable a team of Hidden Ones to team up and take down The Order together. But multiplayer is not always a given in this series. Here’s whether or not there’s an AC Mirage co-op or competitive multiplayer mode.
Is there an AC Mirage co-op mode?
Assassin’s Creed Mirage does not have a cooperative multiplayer mode. There is no way to join up with your friends and climb around Baghdad together. This is in line with the other recent Assassin’s Creed games, as they have been mostly single-player affairs, too. The last entry in the series to support co-op was 2014’s Assassin’s Creed Unity.
Is there an AC Mirage multiplayer mode?
Assassin’s Creed Mirage does not support any other sorts of multiplayer, either. There’s no competitive option, as has been the case since 2013’s Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag.
Ubisoft has already said it is not planning to add any DLC to Mirage, so there is basically no chance of it actually getting any multiplayer in the future. The game does not even have and tertiary online support, either. Valhalla let players send minions to other players, and Odyssey let users avenge dead users. Nothing like that is present in Mirage.
Ubisoft has sold Mirage as an entry that is going back to the series’ basics, and since the first (or second) Assassin’s Creed did not have multiplayer, Mirage’s lack of online support is not exactly a surprise. However, Ubisoft does have some Assassin’s Creed multiplayer experiences in the works. There is a multiplayer installment codenamed Invictus that is being developed by former Rainbow 6 Siege and For Honor developers. It is unclear exactly what it will be and when it might come out, but it will fuse together time periods and various protagonist and antagonists from the series.
