Cyberpunk 2077 Flashlight: Is There a Flashlight or Night Vision in 2.0 Update or Phantom Liberty?

I wondered if Cyberpunk 2077 had a flashlight as soon as I entered the Maelstrom base/food factory early on in the game. It’s an extremely dark environment and a harbinger of things to come. There are many low-vision areas in the game, so you’d figure that night-vision implants or at least a weapon-mounted flashlight would be available.

Can you get a flashlight in Cyberpunk 2077?

No, Cyberpunk 2077 doesn’t have a flashlight. Even with the release of the 2.0 update and the Phantom Liberty DLC, the game still doesn’t feature any portable lighting. So, there’s no wrist-mounted lights, weapon lights, or really any form of illumination you can carry.

Is there night vision in Cyberpunk 2077?

Unfortunately, there aren’t night vision cybernetic implants either. You would think that would be a major feature for cyborg eyes, but apparently, the citizens of Night City don’t mind if it stays dark.

There are a few night vision scopes you can get in the game. However, don’t expect them to work like the real thing. It appears they just add a bright green filter that makes it a bit easier to see in dark spaces.

If you need to see an area in a pinch, you’re best off tweaking your TV or monitor’s gamma, contrast, and brightness. That’s the only reliable way to make it easier to see in the dark in Cyberpunk 2077 for now.

Keep an eye out, though. Someone will eventually make an update 2.0 compatible flashlight mod. Then, you can add the functionality to the game that should have always been there.

Navigating through Night City’s shadows, players rely on adjusting screen settings for clarity. The demand for visibility tools echoes in the community forums, with hopes pinned on future mods. The dark, enigmatic alleys continue to challenge adventurers in their quest through Cyberpunk 2077.
