Immortals of Aveum Palathon Post-Game: Can You Go Back to the Palathon After Beating the Game?

Immortals of Aveum Palathon Post-Game: Can You Go Back to the Palathon After Beating the Game?

The Palathon in Immortals of Aveum is a safe haven where much of the game’s story unfolds. However, that all changes upon the later acts when the plot starts twisting and turning as it careens toward the finale. So can you get back to the Palathon after beating Immortals of Aveum?

Can you get back to the Palathon after completing Immortals of Aveum?

There is currently no way to get back to the Palathon after beating the game. The whole place gets wrecked in the “Ruin” mission near the end of the game, which is after players get banished from the Palathon in the “Collateral” mission. The location doesn’t show up on any of the teleporters after rolling credits, making all the gear there impossible to get after a certain point.

When prompted if it was possible to return, an Electronic Arts representative noted that Ascendant Studios is exploring the idea of New Game Plus. Given this answer and the wrecked state of the Palathon, it is very unlikely this will be patched in at a later date.

More Immortals of Aveum

Not being able to go back to the Palathon means players miss out on the “Fowl Play” trophy or achievement for finding the hidden bird there. The “Family Business,” “Diplomat,” “Petite Bourgeoisie,” “Witch-Taker,” and “Out of Time” trophies or achievements are also going to be impossible to get if players didn’t exhaust the conversation options with those characters beforehand, too.

You can still talk to those related characters in Kalthus, but you can’t bring up topics before the Palathon siege, effectively locking these rewards for those who wanted to save the dialogue for the end.

Therefore, players should explore the Palathon as much as they can and talk to everyone before the “Collateral” mission. There’s no pressure to take on that mission immediately, so players should get their exploration done in the Palathon before then.

Immortals of Aveum Return to Palathon FAQ

Q: Can players return to the Palathon after completing Immortals of Aveum?

A: No, after finishing Immortals of Aveum, there’s currently no way to revisit the Palathon. This location becomes inaccessible following the “Ruin” mission, and it doesn’t appear on any teleporters after the game concludes.

Q: What are the implications of not returning to the Palathon in terms of trophies or achievements?

A: If you don’t thoroughly explore the Palathon and interact with all relevant characters before the “Collateral” mission, you’ll miss out on several trophies or achievements. These include the “Fowl Play” trophy for discovering the hidden bird in the Palathon, and others like “Family Business,” “Diplomat,” “Petite Bourgeoisie,” “Witch-Taker,” and “Out of Time” which are linked to dialogues with specific characters. While some characters can be conversed with in Kalthus after the siege on the Palathon, topics from before that event can’t be discussed, effectively locking you out of those achievements if not completed beforehand.

Q: How should players approach the Palathon to ensure they don’t miss out on content?

A: You should make the most of your time in the Palathon, exploring every corner and engaging in conversations with all characters before embarking on the “Collateral” mission. There’s no urgency to initiate that mission right away, so it’s recommended to complete all interactions and explorations in the Palathon beforehand.
