The Baldur’s Gate 3 Sussur Bloom is a rare ingredient that you’ll need to find to access the Arcane Tower. There are several locations where you can look for the Sussur Blooms, otherwise known as Sussur Blossoms, throughout the Underdark. This is the only place in the game where you’ll be able to find the blooms. Here’s where you can grab the Sussur Bloom flowers so that you can activate the power generator to unlock the Arcane Tower in BG3.
Where to find Baldur’s Gate 3 Sussur Bloom locations
There are two places in the Underdark where you can find the Sussur Bloom:
- Arcane Tower Sussur Tree – The closest place you can find a Sussur Bloom is actually quite close to the Arcane Tower itself. To the left of the tower’s entrance, you can walk across the ledge and leap down using some mushrooms to reach a blue tree. You can find a couple of Sussur Blooms here.
- Giant Sussur Tree – There’s another, much larger Sussur Tree in the Underdark located at around coordinates X -23, Y -141. This is where you’ll need to claim the Sussur Tree Bark to finish the masterwork weapon crafting quest. Since you may be going here anyway, you may want to pick up the four Sussur Blooms you can find in this location.
Getting close to a Sussur Bloom will put characters in range of its anti-magic effect. This prevents spellcasters from using spells and any magic abilities. This can very negatively impact your party, so we recommend sending the blooms to your camp after you grab them and to take one out only when you need it.
That said, you can also use the Sussur Bloom tactically. If you know you’re about to face some tough spellcasters, you may want to have your martial melee characters holddonto one of these blossoms when they approach them in range. This will make it difficult for the spellcasters to move away without taking opportunity attacks since they can’t use Misty Step or even Shield when nearby.
