Larian Studios has detailed what the Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 7 update includes, which is highlighted by the inclusion of in-game mod software, new evil endings, and much more.
What’s in the Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 7 update?
Among the biggest highlights to the new update — which dropped last month on PC but is now also available on PlayStation and Mac, Baldur’s Gate 3’s latest update, dubbed “Patch 7,” will allow players to browse, install, and use a selection of curated mods from the community directly from inside the game. The in-game mods will pull from the game’s Toolkit, a mod toolkit that allows players to develop mods for the game.
Alongside the inclusion of the in-game mod manager, Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 7 will also include 13 new “evil endings,” which are all brand-new cinematic endings for those who play through the game in the most villainous way possible.
The update is available now on console and PC, and the full list can be found on Larian Studios’ website. A breakdown of some of the highlights available in the update can be found below:
- Our Very Own In-Game Mod Manager – Browse, install, and use a curated selection of mods created by the community! Build mods on PC with the Baldur’s Gate III Toolkit; an official, accessible way to get into the world of modding.
- New “Evil Endings” – Brand-new cinematic endings for your most villainous playthroughs, as well as unique endings if playing an Origin Character.
- Revamped Split-Screen Gameplay – Dynamic split-screen is now available for couch co-op multiplayer! When playing on split-screen and near your fellow party member, the screen will merge into one as you adventure together.
