Baldurs Gate 3 Mouse Cursor too Small Increase Size

Baldur’s Gate 3: How to Change Cursor Size From Being Too Small in 4K?

If you’re playing Baldur’s Gate 3 on PC while using a 4K TV as a monitor, you’ll notice the mouse cursor is incredibly small. This isn’t unusual, and some games have helpfully included a way to increase the UI size to compensate for this issue. However, in BG3, you’ll be left scratching your head because there’s no apparent way to increase the size of the cursor. Fortunately, there’s a way to do this, but it requires a third-party program.

How to increase the mouse cursor size in Baldur’s Gate 3

If you’re playing Baldur’s Gate 3 on a larger display, you’ll want to make the cursor bigger. I found that when viewing the game on a 65-inch TV at around a meter and a half away, the pointer was almost impossible to keep track of at times. I also noticed that I had issues with misclicks because I couldn’t clearly see the focal point of the cursor.

Unfortunately, there isn’t an option in the menu to make the pointer bigger. You can increase the size of the text, but there are no settings that affect the overall UI. So, you’ll need to grab a third-party program: YoloMouse. You can purchase it on Steam for $3.99, and it allows you to change the size of in-game cursors or replace them entirely.

Once YoloMouse is installed and launched, you can bring it up in-game by pressing CTRL+ALT+C. In the menu that pops up, you can use a slider at the top of the window to adjust the size of the game cursor. However, Baldur’s Gate 3 has some complications with its cursor images that make this process a bit more of a pain.

Baldur’s Gate 3’s default cursor is a gauntlet, and you’ll notice that it’ll change to a smaller gauntlet when you click. These are treated as two separate cursors by the game, so you have to change the size of both of them. Additionally, the game has many types of pointers that appear contextually. For example, the cursor will change if you hover over a container to let you know it’s interactable, which also has a smaller version that appears when you click. It’s a pain, but you’ll have to change each of them independently.
