The Remnant 2 Galvanized Iron item is a necessary ingredient in upgrading weapons and armor to their mid-tier forms. The different forms of Iron and how they drop can be confusing to understand. Galvanized Iron fits in an awkward space between Forged Iron and Hardened Iron (along with Simulacrum which you can farm alongside Corrupted Luminite Crystals). You need to meet a set of requirements in order to see Galvanized Iron appear in the game. Yet at the same time, once Hardened Iron starts to appear, it can be difficult to find lower-grade versions of iron. Here’s how to get and farm Galvanized Iron throughout Remnant 2.
How to get Remnant 2 Galvanized Iron
To farm Galvanized Iron, you first need to improve your average weapon level so that it’s at least 10 before it will begin to spawn in your game.
You can check your average weapon level by heading to your character tab and looking at your Advanced Stats. You’ll need to make sure that your weapons, which includes your guns and melee weapon, have been upgraded to +10 by using Iron and Forged Iron. Once that happens, enemies and bosses will begin to drop Galvanized Iron.
Once your average weapon level reaches +15 through Galvanized Iron, you’ll start getting Hardened Iron instead. You’ll still receive Galvanized Iron on occasion, but you will not see it drop as often, which can be a problem if you still need need to upgrade weapons that are not yet levelled up. In this case, the main way to earn Galvanized Iron is to find it through chests.
You can also find the occasional amount of Galvanized Iron for sale at Cass, a vendor in Ward 13. I say “occasional,” because Cass’s inventory is randomized. So if you really need Galvanized Iron, it’s good to check back with Cass every now and then, and buy out her stock entirely. You can also visit a friend’s world and see if Cass has a refreshed inventory.
