Pikmin 4 Post-Game Content End-Game New Game Plus

Pikmin 4 Post-Game Content: Is There a New Game Plus?

There’s plenty of post-game content in Pikmin 4 for players to enjoy. While the story technically ends when the credits roll, there’s actually quite a bit of game left at this point. Many players might assume they’ll just get a New Game Plus mode, but there’s so much to do that it seems a bit strange to even call it end-game content.

Pikmin 4 End-Game Content

Completing Pikmin 4 unlocks the following post-game content:

  • Giant’s Hearth Map
  • Mission: Cure Oatchi
  • Olimar’s Shipwreck Tale
  • New Castaways

Of course, at this point, unless you were vigilant, you’ll likely have content left to complete from the main game. You still have the opportunity to return to previous levels and search for any treasures, Castaways, and Piklopedia entries. You can also continue to unlock Oatchi’s skills, craft gear, complete remaining night quests, and shoot for Platinum for Dandori Battles and Challenges.

Does Pikmin 4 have New Game Plus mode?

Pikmin 4 doesn’t have New Game Plus mode. The game is built on you having access to certain abilities at certain times. It’d be way too easy to sequence break if you got to start over while keeping everything you have at the end of the game.

Fortunately, you can experience everything Pikmin 4 has to offer in one run. There aren’t any difficulty settings or diverging paths, so there’s no point in immediately replaying it. However, it’s possible Nintendo may add more post-game content as DLC. Pikmin 3 received several post-launch content packs that contained new missions and game modes.

Only time will tell if Pikmin 4 follows this trend. In the meantime, enjoy the wealth of engaging, explorative, and challenging content the base game has to offer. While awaiting potential DLC, remember that mastering the game’s intricacies and achieving Platinum rankings will define your true prowess as a Pikmin commander.
