Genshin Impact Inazuma Evermotion Mechanical Painting Puzzle Solutions

Inazuma is the primary location for one of the current events in Genshin Impact: Evermotion Mechanical Painting. This event challenges players to solve puzzles involving gears and tiles to restore paintings that depict scenes from Inazuma’s history and culture. It has four parts, each taking place in a different region of the game world. The third part takes place in Inazuma itself and requires players to solve two puzzles to unlock rewards.

If you are having trouble with the Inazuma puzzles, don’t worry. We have got you covered with this guide that will show you the solutions for both puzzles and explain how to get them right.

How to Solve the Inazuma Puzzles in Genshin Impact’s Evermotion Mechanical Painting Event

Puzzle I Solution

How to Solve the Inazuma Puzzles in Genshin Impact’s Evermotion Mechanical Painting Event

The first puzzle in Inazuma is located near the Kamisato Estate. To start the puzzle, you need to interact with the mechanical painting device and select “Inazuma I.” You will see a painting that is divided into four surfaces, each with a different pattern. You will also see four gear columns on the left side of the device and six gears of different sizes on the right side.

The goal of the puzzle is to place the gears on the columns so that they connect the blue gear (which will be spinning) with the green gear (which will activate the painting). You can also swap or rotate the surfaces of the painting to make it easier to align the gears.

Here are the steps to solve the Inazuma I puzzle:

1Switch Surface 1 & 3
2Rotate Surface 2
3Required Gears:

Gear Column 1: Medium Gear

Gear Column 2: Medium Gear

Gear Column 3: Large Gear

Gear Column 4: Large Gear

You will have one unused large gear left, but you don’t need it for this puzzle. Once you have placed all the gears correctly, you will see the painting come to life and reveal a scene of Ayaka Kamisato performing a ritual dance.

Puzzle II Solution

The second puzzle in Inazuma is located near Kujou Encampment. To start the puzzle, you need to interact with the mechanical painting device and select “Inazuma II.” You will see a similar setup as before but with a different painting and six gear columns instead of four.

The goal of the puzzle is the same as before: connect the blue gear with the green gear using the other gears. You can also swap or rotate the surfaces of the painting as needed.

Here are the steps to solve the Inazuma II puzzle:

1Rotate Surface 1, 2 & 3
2Required Gears:

Gear Column 1: No Gear

Gear Column 2: Large Gear

Gear Column 3: Medium Gear

Gear Column 4: Medium Gear

Gear Column 5: Large Gear

You will have two unused small gears left, but you don’t need them for this puzzle. Once you have placed all the gears correctly, you will see the painting come to life and reveal a scene of Sara Kujou leading her troops into battle.

Solving both puzzles in Inazuma will reward you with 60 Primogems and other event items. You will also get two Evermotion Mechanical Painting furnishings for your Serenitea Pot: Tenshukaku and Sangonomiya Shrine. These furnishings are replicas of the paintings that you restored and can be placed in your realm for decoration.

The Evermotion Mechanical Painting event will end on June 6, 2023, so make sure to complete all four parts before then.
