Zelda Tears of the Kingdom How to Make Paraglider Location

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom: How to Make a Paraglider

You may be wondering how to make a paraglider in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The game centers around constructing contraptions to get around, so it would make sense that you’d build this useful item as well. Unfortunately, however, that’s not the case, and you won’t get your hands on it until after you leave Great Sky Island.

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Paraglider Purah

You get the Paraglider in Lookout Landing in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. After you return from finding Captain Hoz, Purah will unlock the Skyview Towers and provide you with the Paraglider. It functions the same way as it does in Breath of the Wild, but you’ll find you’ll rely on it even more in the sequel.

Not long into the game, you’ll get an ability that significantly enhances the Paraglider. In Rito Village, you’ll meet Tulin and partner with him to climb to and challenge the Wind Temple. In addition to fighting with you, he’ll use his control of wind to blow a gust that’ll propel you forward when you’re using the Paraglider. Once you have the Vow of Tulin, you can use this ability almost anywhere, drastically increasing the amount of ground you can cover while gliding.

Though you don’t have to make the Paraglider in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you will find a Zonai device that has a similar use. The Wing can be used to glide over even longer distances, or you can attach other Zonai devices to it to enhance its abilities. Using a Fan and Control Stick will allow you to make a miniature aircraft, making traveling between sky islands much easier.

However, unlike the Paraglider, the Wing can only be used for a limited amount of time. Eventually, it’ll start blinking with a green glow. After that, the blinking will increase in frequency until the Wing eventually vanishes. So, even though it uses your stamina, the Paraglider will be your most reliable way to travel through the air in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
