Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Hoz Location: How to Find the Captain in Crisis at Hyrule Castle Quest

You’ll need to get to Captain Hoz in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom during the Crisis at Hyrule Castle quest. Hoz’s location will be helpfully marked on your map, so getting in his general vicinity isn’t tough. The hard part is finding a way up to him once you reach the First Gatehouse. Fortunately, one of your Zonai powers makes this very easy.

Captain Hoz’s location will be marked on your map as soon as you start the Crisis at Hyrule Castle quest in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. You’ll see you can find him in the First Gatehouse The route there is simple enough:

  • Head north out of Lookout Landing.
  • Pass through the Hyrule Castle Town Ruins and Central Square.
  • Keep going north until you reach a large pair of doors.
  • Use Ultrahand to open them.
  • Keep on the path and follow it all the way to the First Gatehouse.

Once at the gatehouse, you’ll realize that Hoz is on the second floor of the building. However, that’s pretty far up, so we’re gonna take a shortcut.

Use Ascend on the ledge to make it up to Captain Hoz.

Go inside the gatehouse and face one of the corners with the wooden walls. Climb the walls to the ledge by the window and then use Ascend to pass through the ceiling to the roof immediately. All you have to do now is follow the dot on your map, and you’ll have found Hoz in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
