Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom: How To Avoid Lightning During Storms

Lightning strikes in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom can be easily avoided as long as you know how. Getting struck by lightning will strip you of hearts and set you on fire, so you’ll want to take steps to prevent yourself from these strikes. Here’s how to keep from getting struck by lightning in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

How to protect yourself from lightning in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Unequip metal weapons and gear to avoid getting struck by lightning in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Once you’ve unequipped these items, lightning will no longer target you. However, you’ll need to watch for lightning storms in your vicinity as they’ll start dangerous fires.

If you’re unsure if you’re in a lightning storm, don’t worry. You’ll have a few seconds warning before you’re struck by lightning, which is plenty of time to unequip your metal weapons and gear. This warning will be in the form of sparks that fly around your armor with a distinct sound effect.

If you’re stuck in combat during a lightning storm, you may want to use the fuse feature to strengthen weaker non-metal weapons. However, you may wish to unfuse your gear afterward to get the original weapon back.
