Age of Wonders 4: How to Heal Units

Age of Wonders 4 is a complicated game, and figuring out how to heal units isn’t easy. This guide will show you how to heal your units and which method you should prioritize.

How do you heal units in Age of Wonders 4?

Units in Age of Wonders 4 heal quickly inside your cities and heal slowly outside your city. However, they’ll still need to be inside your territory to heal.

Units heal 25 HP a turn inside cities and 5 HP a turn inside your territory. While these are the most reliable ways to heal units, plenty of spells, perks, or abilities can also heal your units. Here are some common ways to heal in Age of Wonders 4:

  • Natural Recovery perk – Found in the Nature Affinity perk tree, this will boost your units’ healing rate by an additional 15 HP a turn inside your territory.
  • Wand of Healing – Units can equip this item to heal others.
  • Army Heal – This spell from the Tome of Faith can heal all your units on the map.
  • Support Units – Some units can cast temporary healing abilities, but these hitpoints are lost after encounters.
  • Hero abilities and equipment – Levelling up your heroes can unlock various skills to heal your units.

That concludes our guide on how to heal units in Age of Wonders. For more content, make sure to check our dedicated Guides section for all the games, and take a look at the News section to keep yourself up-to-date with the latest happenings in the gaming industry.
