MCU Kang Recast: Will Jonathan Majors Be Replaced by Disney?

Jonathan Majors, who plays Kang the Conqueror in past and future Marvel movies, has been arrested on assault charges. With controversy surrounding the MCU actor, some wonder if the allegations will trigger Disney to replace Majors and recast Kang.

Will Jonathan Majors still play Kang in the MCU?

At the time of writing, Jonathan Majors is still cast as Kang in upcoming MCU movies including Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars.

Disney and Marvel have yet to comment on the allegations aimed at Majors. With the actor having just made his movie debut in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (following his Disney Plus appearance in Loki), recasting the character will no doubt put a strain on production. However, choosing to continue working with Majors could lead to negative public perception.

Why is Jonathan Majors controversial?

Jonathan Majors is controversial because he was arrested on strangulation, assault, and harassment charges on March 25, 2023.

The BBC reported on the allegations aimed at Majors.
