Resident Evil 4 Remake Collector’s vs Deluxe vs Standard: Which To Buy

The Resident Evil 4 remake is available in three editions: Collector’s, Deluxe, and Standard. Each edition is substantially different from the other, so if you’re planning to pre-order the game, you’ll need to decide which is best for you.

What is in each edition of the Resident Evil 4 remake?

A pre-order will net you in-game bonuses regardless of which edition of the Resident Evil 4 remake you buy. However, these bonuses differ between editions too. We haven’t listed prices, as they vary significantly between platform, retailer, and edition. However, here is a full breakdown of what you’ll get in each edition.

Resident Evil 4 Standard Edition content

As you might guess, the Standard Edition is just the base game. However, pre-orders will include a Gold Attaché case and a Handgun Ammo charm.

Resident Evil 4 Deluxe Edition content

The Deluxe Edition adds a Classic Attaché case and a Green Herb charm on top of the Standard Edition pre-order bonus. However, you’ll also receive the Extra DLC Pack. This includes:

  • Leon & Ashley Costumes: Casual and Romantic
  • Leon Costumes & Filters: Hero and Villain
  • Leon Accessory: Sunglasses (Sporty)
  • Deluxe Weapons: Sentinel Nine and Skull Shaker
  • Original Version Soundtrack (can be swapped at will)
  • Treasure Map: Expansion

Resident Evil 4 Collector’s Edition content

The Collector’s Edition is only available for the PlayStation and Xbox versions of the game. It is exclusive to GameStop in the US and Game in the UK. On top of all the content included in the Deluxe Edition, you’ll receive the following:

  • Steelbook disc case
  • Digital soundtrack
  • Leon Kennedy figure
  • Artbook
  • Poster of the game map
  • Box (Styled after the in-game inventory case)

The Resident Evil 4 remake arrives on March 24 on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. However, on release day, we won’t see the game come on Xbox Game Pass or PlayStation Plus.
