Will There Be a Scream 7 and When Is It Coming Out?

Scream 6 might have only just been released, but it’s already had a record-breaking opening at the box office, which has fans asking if will there be a Scream 7 and if so, when will the release date be?

When is the Scream 7 release date?

The Scream 7 release date could be during 2024.

Scream 7 is almost a foregone conclusion at this stage. While nothing has officially been announced, the movie set a franchise record with its box office opening, and it’s unlikely that Paramount will want to slow down the franchise now. They’ll likely announce Scream 7 officially within the next month, and start filming it at some point this year.

As far as a release date goes, that’s harder to pin down. Scream has historically been a franchise with a pretty quick turnaround, with the release dates for all the films being as follows:

  • Scream- December 20, 1996
  • Scream 2- December 12, 1997
  • Scream 3- February 4, 2000
  • Scream 4- April 15, 2011
  • Scream- January 14, 2022
  • Scream VI- March 10, 2023

If Scream 7 follows the same pattern as the previous two Scream movies, then we could see a release for the next film in the slasher franchise as soon as next year, though there’s the potential that delays could cause a delay in production and release.

In other Scream 7 news, we’ve taken a look at the potential cast for the next film in the slasher franchise, and if you really want to know who the killer is, we’ve got you covered.
