Halo Infinite New Weapon for Season 3: M392 Bandit, Balance Changes

Halo Infinite Season 3’s new M392 Bandit gun is the first weapon added to the game since its release in 2021. Despite some crucial differences, the gun is reminiscent of the DMR in previous Halo games. Season 3 also brought numerous balance changes to weapons, and we’ll walk you through all of them and how the M392 Bandit works.

What is the new M392 Bandit gun in Halo Infinite?

The M392 Bandit is a semi-automatic tactical rifle in Halo Infinite, perfect for mid-range engagements. There’s no scope; you’ll zoom in like the pistol.

The M392 Bandit requires four shots to break a player’s shield and will kill a player in three shots to the body. This means you can kill a fully-shielded player in five shots with the M392 Bandit if you aim for the head for your final shot. The M392 Bandit has a 15-round magazine, so you can kill two players without reloading.

What weapons have changed in Halo Infinite Season 3?

The Plasma Pistol and VK78 Commando Rifle have seen substantial changes, and the starting ammo for numerous weapons in ranked games has also changed.

The Plasma Pistol has had its charge time increased from 1s to 1.6s. The maximum and minimum tracking angle has also been reduced.

The VK78 Commando Rifle’s damage has been reduced, so it now takes nine shots to break a player’s shields (previously 8).

In Ranked matches, the starting ammo for the Stalker Rifle has been halved, the reserve ammo for the Shock Rifle has been halved, and the CQS48 Bulldog and Heatwave no longer have any reserve ammo.
