Get More SR in MW2 Ranked Play

Modern Warfare 2: How To Get More SR in MW2 Ranked Play

Knowing how to get more SR in MW2 Ranked Play will help Modern Warfare 2 grind through Bronze, Silver, Gold, and beyond more quickly. However, it can be confusing. Here’s how to get more SR in Modern Warfare 2’s Ranked mode.

Fast way to get more SR in MW2 Ranked

The quickest way to get more SR in MW2 Ranked Play is to defeat teams comprised of higher-skilled enemies. Consistently defeating tougher teams will cause the SR earned per match to increase.

As explained by Treyarch’s Lawrence Metten, all players have a “Hidden Performance Range” (HPR). This hidden statistic is used to compare players. Players who defeat enemies with a higher HPR than them will see increased SR rewards.

It’s normal to see high SR gains during the early stages of Bronze and Silver, where the game is trying to hone in on your HPR to match you with similarly-skilled players. As players get to the higher stages of Silver and move into Gold, SR rewards generally lessen as they are playing similar-skilled enemies.

If teammates are earning more SR than you, it’s likely because they defeated opponents with a higher HPR.

On a basic level, to increase your SR quickly in MW2 Ranked, you’ll want to win as many games as possible while killing as many players as possible.
