The Modern Warfare 2 Gun Game release date is scheduled for between February 16 and April 11, 2023. While developer Infinity Ward has confirmed that the mode will be added during Season 2, the exact date hasn’t yet been announced.
How to play Gun Game in Modern Warfare 2
To play Gun Game in Modern Warfare 2, players should:
- Wait for the Gun Game mode to release and be added to the game.
- Go to the MW2 Multiplayer menu.
- Find the Gun Game playlist.
- Search for other players to find a match.
It’s not yet clear if MW2’s version of Gun Game will allow parties to play together. Some Call of Duty games allow parties to join Gun Game, while others force players to join as a solo.
Thankfully, Gun Game will also be playable as a Private Match mode. Players will be able to set up a custom game and invite players to enjoy the party mode with them. This will come in clutch if the MW2 version of Gun Game only allows solo parties to join.
