The E3 2023 date and schedule have been revealed by the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) and ReedPop, the organizers of PAX. The summer convention will take place from June 13, 2023 to June 16, 2023, though it will support and show off various digital events with specific partners starting on June 11, 2023. E3 2023 is finally returning after several years in hiatus or doing only a digital version of the event during the Covid-19 pandemic, which has allowed Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest to take its place.
E3 2023 date and schedule
- June 13, 2023 – E3 Business Days
- June 14, 2023 – E3 Business Days
- June 15, 2023 – E3 Business Days, E3 Gamer Days
- June 16, 2023 – E3 Gamer Days
Similar to Gamescom and more traditional versions of the convention in the past, E3 2023 will be split between E3 Business Days and E3 Gamer Days. The first three days will allow industry personnel, including licensors, distributors, and media professionals, to connect with each other and get their hands on upcoming games in a separate hall away from the consumer side of things.
On the flip side, E3 Gamer Days will take place the last two days of the event, giving the public the ability the try the latest games and connect with content creators, media personalities, and developers. It will feature a “dedicated theater of content” providing deep dives into highly anticipated titles, according to the organizers, and be open to ticket holders. It’s unclear when tickets will be available and how much they will cost.
What games will be announced during E3 2023?
Of course, it’s a bit early at the moment to guess what game reveals will take place at E3 2023. However, ReedPop previously stated in June 2022 (as reported by our sister site PlayStation LifeStyle) that E3 2023 will be “a week of titanic AAA reveals” and “earth-shaking world premieres.” But if we have to guess a handful of games that will likely make an appearance, it would include Starfield, Final Fantasy 16, Tekken 8, Like A Dragon 8, and Diablo 4.
