In Trombone Champ, there’s a menu item called “Baboon.” When you click on it, you’ll find two things. However, at first, you can only access one of them, a square-shaped hatch with a baboon on a metal fixture in the center. When you view it, you’ll notice that it has an “S” in each corner, which is the secret to unlocking it.
How do you open the box-shaped baboon hatch in Trombone Champ?
The secret to opening the square-shaped hatch in Trombone Champ is to get an S rank in four different songs. Once you do this, you can tape the S in each corner of the hatch to unlock it. Then, just keep tapping on the hatch until it springs open, revealing a baboon. He’ll introduce you to a new mechanic and give you the next objective.
Getting four S ranks is easier said than done. Some songs are easier than others, and we recommend taking on these four:
- Also Sprach Zarathustra
- God Save the King
- O Canada
- Warm Up
These are all reasonably slow songs without many (if any) slides to pull off. So, once you’ve gotten the hang of the game, they shouldn’t take long to S rank. We were able to clear the lot in less than 15 minutes and move on to the next part of the game.
