However, the release date was pushed back to 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and then another year to 2023 to avoid opening against Top Gun: Maverick.
Who is in the John Wick: Chapter 4 cast?
Keanu Reeves will be reprising his titular role as John Wick, the professional assassin with a legendary reputation. Actors confirmed to be returning to the franchise include Ian McShane as Winston, the manager of the Continental, Lance Reddick as Charon, the concierge, and Laurence Fishburne as The Bowery King, a crime boss.
The film will also be introducing martial arts legends into the cast. Donnie Yen, famous for his roles in the Ip Man series and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, will be portraying Caine, an old friend of Wick. One of the actors in the film, Shamier Anderson, released a picture of a wrap gift—a drawstring bag reading John Wick 4: Hagakure. As the third Wick film was called John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum, it makes sense that the fourth would have a subtitle as well. This isn’t the officially confirmed title, but it may be announced soon.
There has been a lot of speculation on what the film will be about. The ending of John Wick 3 hinted that Wick would team up with the Bowery King to take on the High Table, which hunted and left both of them for dead.
