Some players are reporting a bug in Apex Legends that’s preventing their currency from loading. That means that Apex Coins they’ve bought aren’t appearing. If you’re part of the group that can’t see their currency total in Apex Legends, read on below to see possible causes and fixes.
Can you fix Apex Legends currency not loading?
We're currently investigating an issue that popped up with yesterday's launch of Hunted preventing @PlayApex players from receiving the correct rewards when leveling up
We'll provide an update in this thread as soon as we have one. Appreciate your patience with these new changes— Respawn (@Respawn) August 10, 2022
A glitch in Apex Legends is causing a black loading bar to appear on players’ currencies in the upper right part of the main screen. This is annoying because it affects Crafting Metals and Legends Tokens. However, the worst part is that it prevents Apex Coins from appearing, and they’re a premium currency.
There’s no definitive cause for the Apex Legends currency bug, but there are a few things people have reported that can fix it:
- Quit and restart the game.
- Power cycle the PC or console you’re playing on.
- Log off for a while and come back.
If we had to guess, the issue is related to some sort of server connection problem. Quitting and relaunching the game will reconnect to the server, which may clear things up. Alternatively, resetting your console or PC could help fix any network configuration issues if the issue is on your side.
However, we’re betting the problem lies on EA’s side. There have been reports that rewards haven’t been added to players’ accounts correctly lately, and that could include currency. Here’s what Respawn has to say about it:
“We’re currently investigating an issue that popped up with yesterday’s launch of Hunted preventing @PlayApex players from receiving the correct rewards when leveling up

However, Respawn hasn’t addressed the problem with currencies in particular yet. Hopefully, it’ll be fixed in the net patch. Until then, you’ll just have to hope that one of the above methods works out.
The ETA for the patch mentioned above is sometime next week, so keep an eye out for it.
