Xbox Game Pass currently offers more than 400 Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC games as part of its subscription service and new games are being added to the list every week. Cult of the Lamb is released on all three of those platforms this week, but will it be coming to Xbox Game Pass too?
When is Cult of the Lamb coming to Xbox Game Pass?
Cult of the Lamb is not coming to Xbox Game Pass on day one on August 11. The only Xbox Game Pass games being added this week are Two Point Campus, Expeditions: Rome, Offworld Trading Company, and Cooking Simulator. Neither developer Massive Monster, publisher Devolver Digital, or Microsoft themselves have said the game will be released on Game Pass in the future, but there won’t possibly be an announcement until the month the game is due to be added to the list.
The game is likely to be added to Xbox Game Pass in the future as Devolver Digital has quite a few games in the current list, including Disc Room, Trek to Yomi, Weird West, Death’s Door, Olija, and Serious Sam 4. All of Devolver’s previous Game Pass games seem to have been available on the service for at least 12 months, so expect a similar period of availability for Cult of the Lamb. Admittedly Massive Monster’s previous game, The Adventure Pals, was never included on Xbox Game Pass, but that was also published by a different company.
Those wanting to play Cult of the Lamb on day one will be able to choose from Xbox series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch, although you’ll need to pay $24.99 for the privilege. Those pre-ordering the game before its release on August 11 will get a Cthulhu Follower Form bonus at launch. There’s also a demo available on Steam for those who want to try the game before they buy.
In other gaming news, a Steam Client beta update has added support for Nintendo Joy-Con controllers. Elsewhere, the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 3 DLC may have been leaked.
