With the iPhone 14 release date looming, it may seem unwise to purchase an iPhone 13 so close to the announcement of the latest tech.
Though not everyone has the luxury of being able to wait an extra month or two to get their hands on new technology. If you currently do not have a device that is useable and/or you can find yourself a really good deal, then purchasing the iPhone 13 could work.
Although many users do just enjoy a new upgrade each year, so if your current phone holds up to the job pretty well, waiting a month or so is probably the way forward.

August is a pretty bad time to upgrade as there will be fewer than two months until the new iPhones drop. Even if you don’t have your heart set on buying the latest model, waiting for the iPhone 14 to be announced is likely to have a knock-on effect with the entire product range, lowering the prices of the iPhone 13 and older.
