Dinkum is currently making waves during its early access period on PC via Steam. It’s generating so much hype that console players are starting to wonder when they’ll get to play. Happily, there is some new information about a console launch. Here’s the need-to-know info about a Dinkum PS5, PS4, Switch, and Xbox release date.
When is Dinkum coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox, Switch?
The Dinkum console release date for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch will be after the PC’s early access period is over.
Dinkum developer James Bendon confirmed on Twitter that “console ports and other languages for Dinkum are currently planned for after Early Access.”

It should be noted that Bendon doesn’t mention which consoles will be getting ports of the game. However, they do use the word “ports” meaning, at the very least, multiple consoles will be enjoying a Dinkum release.

If you like the look of Dinkum, Animal Crossing: New Horizons may be a good place to start to get your building and exploring cap on. With similar gameplay mechanics, catching fish bugs, and pitching a tent, Animal Crossing will keep players going until the upcoming Dinkum console release. Alternatively, Minecraft has received a ton of support in recent years and so may be worth revisiting or finally diving into.
