Finding the location of the Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Prized Pelt will be a goal for many players who are new to the expansion. Some of the early Master Rank armor requires this crafting material, as do a few mid-game pieces. Those wanting to upgrade to the new tier of armor quickly will want to know precisely which monsters drop the Prized Pelt and if there’s a way to farm it.
How to get Prized Pelt in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak
In Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, Prized Pelts are found by carving Anteka and Kelbi. Since these small fry monsters are the only source of the material, it’s easy to overlook. We haven’t seen this item as a reward for a quest or hunting larger monsters. So, you’ll need to either head out on an expedition or chase them down while you’re tracking bigger game.
Prized Pelt locations:
Anteka and Kelbi are found in two different locations:
Anteka (18% chance)
- Frost Islands
Kelbi (30% chance)
- Flooded Forest
- Sandy Plains
- Shrine Ruins
How to farm Prized Pelt
Luckily, smaller monsters like Anteka and Kelbi will respawn indefinitely. The best one to go after is the Kelbi since it has a higher chance of dropping Prized Pelts when carved. To farm Prized Pelts in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, you just need to find a few regions where they appear within the same map and cycle between them.
A good spot is in the Shrine Ruins. Set out on a Master Rank Expedition, head through areas 11, 12, and 13, kill the Kelbi, and carve them. By the time you make it back to 11 from 13, the Kelbi there should have respawned. This is one of the easier materials to farm for in the game (unlike Monster Toughbone), and 30-45 minutes should have you set for the rest of the game if you get decent RNG.
