The Quarry Skip Cutscenes

The Quarry Skipping Cutscenes: Can You Skip Cinematics and Speed up Dialogue?

Skipping cutscenes in The Quarry could be incredibly useful for those replaying the story to see different outcomes or to collect missed items and Trophies/Achievements. It could also be useful for more impatient players who want to skip through some of the slower scenarios, as there is a fair bit of downtime that breaks up the action. Here is all you need to know about skipping cutscenes in The Quarry and whether or not cutscenes can be bypassed and dialogue sped up.

Can you skip the cutscenes in The Quarry?

No, cutscenes cannot be skipped in The Quarry.

At the time of launch, there’s no way to skip cutscenes in The Quarry. Like with Until Dawn, Supermassive Games has chosen to prevent players from skipping through dialogue and cutscenes. This is potentially due to the developer wanting players to take the time to invest in the characters and what they have to say.

Can you skip The Quarry’s cutscenes after beating the game?

Unfortunately, The Quarry’s cutscenes can’t be skipped, even after completing the game.

The complete absence of skippable cutscenes can make replaying slower scenarios pretty tedious, especially for those looking to accelerate ahead to see how different choices play out.

Should fans demand it loudly enough, and if it’s possible for the developer to do, skippable cutscenes could very well come to The Quarry in a future update. However, this is by no means guaranteed.

It’s also possible that modders will add a Skippable Cutscene mod sometime after launch for the PC version, though it remains to be seen just how easy it is to create mods for this game and if the modding community cares deeply enough about it to bother putting in the effort.
