HypeSquad ps5

Is HypeSquad coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One?

HypeSquad is a new fast-paced, 60-player online PvP combat game that offers 20 groups of three the chance to battle it out to become the last squad standing. For now, this new battle royale game is only available on PC, but it’s not hard to imagine it eventually coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. Is that possible? Here’s the need-to-know info about a HypeSquad console release date.

Is HypeSquad coming to consoles? (PS5, PS4, and Xbox)

Following a successful PC alpha launch, HypeSquad could very well be set to launch on consoles like the PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.

However, at the time of writing, HypeSquad is still in the PC alpha testing stage. That means the developer is still putting in the work for the PC version before it can set its sights on other platforms.

Netmarble hasn’t yet confirmed whether or not console support is planned. That’s both good and bad news, as while the game isn’t confirmed to be coming to consoles, it hasn’t been outright denied either.

For those with PCs who are waiting for a console release so that they can use a controller, you’ll be happy to hear that the game already has partial controller support. Plug yours in and see if it works. Some do prefer a gamepad to a keyboard and mouse, after all!

Expect to hear more about HypeSquad’s potential console support as the game comes out of early access on PC. Until then, there are plenty of other battle royale games to have a go at!
