General Tips
-
The game lets you control the character in two different ways. You can either tap anywhere on the screen and your assassin will go there (when you encounter another character you will be given a choice on what to do with him). Or you can switch to a mode that places a classic two stick controller on your screen that you can use to control the character.
-
Every character is created for a specific playing style. Choose the one that suits you best:
-
Berserkers - For those that prefer a more action-based approach. These characters have a great amount of health and strength. One of their main abilities is damaging multiple opponents.
-
Shadowblades - These characters allow for a stealthier approach, reminiscent of the Hitman series. Besides blending in, they can also disappear easily with the use of the smoke bombs.
-
Tricksters - Tricksters are all about evasion and deception. They can use their special ability to lure the enemy into an alley and perform a stealthy kill. They can also walk into a crowd, eliminate the target and run away in a matter of seconds.
-
Thieves - These characters can pickpocket and set traps, as well as attack from above. They are very agile and capable. However, thieves have to be unlocked with Hero coins.
-
-
Sell or use the unwanted items in your inventory. They only take up space and prevent you from obtaining more items.
-
Elite missions are much more difficult, but also more rewarding. Use your character’s special skills to beat them successfully.
-
When possible be stealthy. It will require more time, but the kills are quicker and cleaner. Both stronger and weaker opponents are equally powerless against an assassination.
-
When following a target, either climb beforehand so that you would have a much wider perspective, or don’t climb at all, because you will lose valuable time and perhaps lose track of him in the process.
-
When you’re in a hurry in a public place, combine low-profile, slow movement with periods of sprinting when there’s no one around you. So, for example, you will carefully pass the square, slip into an alleyway and start running, only to continue slowly once you’re out in the open again.
-
Eagle Vision can help you identify the correct chest that is safe to open. Otherwise, if you open a wrong one, the alarm will go off and guards will be alerted.
-
Because the game’s mechanics are a bit more tricky on iOS than on consoles or pc, Identity has Parkour Helper that shows you where you can jump and from what distance. Use it, so you wouldn’t overestimate yourself and leap into your death.
