The purple woman at the end of Doctor Strange 2 is Clea. She is played by Charlize Theron.

In the first post-credits scene, Charlie Theron’s Clea appears to Doctor Strange, telling him that they need to repair the Incursion he caused between universes. He agrees, changing from his casual attire into his sorcerer’s outfit with a wave of his scarf.

Why does Charlize Theron’s Clea need Doctor Strange?

Charlie Theron’s Clea needs Doctor Strange to fix an Incursion that he apparently caused. When he agrees, she opens a portal to a colorful-looking universe that they then jump into.

In the comics, Clea and Doctor Strange make a formidable team, taking on powerful magical enemies. Eventually, the pair are married and, ultimately, Clea becomes the new Sorcerer Supreme under the name “Clea Strange.”

It’s still up for speculation as to how closely MCU’s Clea will follow the comics. However, with the discussion of Doctor Strange’s happiness and relationships cropping up multiple times in Doctor Strange 2, there’s certainly a foundation for the character to start developing feelings for this new woman who has just appeared in his life, potentially leading to her becoming his wife.
