iPhone users are no doubt beginning to wonder when they can expect an iOS 15.4.2 release date. New iPhone updates have the potential to improve the performance of devices, which makes them exciting for Apple enthusiasts. So when can users expect the iOS 15.4.2 update to come out? Here’s all of the need-to-know information.
When is the iOS 15.4.2 release date?
The iOS 15.4.2 release date hasn’t yet been confirmed. In fact, it’s possible that Apple will skip right past this version and roll out 15.5 instead.
At the time of writing, beta testers are currently using a preview build of 15.5 (beta 2). If that version is deemed suitable for public use, then it could be rolled out ahead of 15.4.2. However, if the 15.5 patch proves problematic, it will need more testing and Apple may push out a 15.4.2 update instead.
If there is a 15.4.2 update, it will likely have fewer features than the 15.5 patch, but still contain valuable security improvements. It would be treated as a stepping stone between 15.4.1 and 15.5.
When is the new iPhone update coming out?
The new iPhone update for 2022 is expected to roll out in early May.
Of course, updates can be moved forward or backward, and Apple isn’t massively consistent when it comes to rolling out patches.
With that said, for those waiting for the biggest iOS fixes and improvements, they will almost certainly be included in a “16.0” update that will be revealed alongside the new iPhones. Expect to see a preview of iOS 16 and the new iPhones during September 2022.
Expect to hear more about future iPhone patches as the year goes on. GameRevolution will be quick to cover all major updates.
In gaming news, Skate 4’s multiplayer will let players build skate parks together. Halo Infinite’s season 2 modes are a combination of new and old. A new Tales from the Borderlands game is confirmed to be in development.
