It’s been nearly five years since the release of Star Wars Battlefront 2 by EA and DICE, and while the focus is on Battlefield titles like the recently released Battlefield 2042 fans are hopeful that a new Star Wars shooter is in the works too. What is the Star Wars Battlefront 3 PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC release date?
If Star Wars Battlefront 3 happens it will likely release around 2024, 2025, or later, as it seems like EA and DICE do not currently have a new game in the series in production. However, a new Star Wars shooter is instead in development at Titanfall and Apex Legends creator Respawn, and this will likely release before Star Wars Battlefront 3.
At the moment, the current rumor is that Battlefront 3 has not entered production as EA reportedly decided not to go ahead with it, instead choosing to focus on its own Battlefield franchise. Instead, EA is relying on Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order developer Respawn to manage all of its Star Wars titles, and the new FPS will likely be focused on single-player and story rather than multiplayer.
Battlefront 3 was a pitched title from DICE, but ultimately, the title was shot down by EA due to licensing costs.

Is there a Star Wars Battlefront 3 Switch, PS4, and Xbox One release date?
If Star Wars Battlefront 3 happens it will likely not release on Switch, PS4, or Xbox One, as it will almost certainly be years away and current-gen systems will be more prevalent.
As for Nintendo Switch in particular, no Star Wars Battlefront games so far have appeared on Switch so that will definitely rule out Nintendo’s current console. However, by the time Battlefront 3 happens, it is quite possible that Nintendo may have a new console out and so the game may be released there instead.
