FFXIV Patch 6.1 Update Release Date

Update 6.05 just dropped, and fans are ready for the release date of FFXIV patch 6.1. The most recent update brought the Excitatron 6000 treasure dungeon, the Salvage version of the Pandaemonium raid, and more. However, we’ll have to wait until FFXIV update 6.1 to get the first of the post-Endwalker story content. Here’s when we might get the first major post-expansion update.

What is the FFXIV update 6.1 patch release date?

  • Patch 3.3 – Revenge of the Horde: June 6, 2016
  • Patch 3.2 – The Gears of Change: February 23, 2016

  • Patch 2.3 – Defenders of Eorzea: July 7, 2014
  • Patch 2.2 – Through the Maelstrom: March 26, 2014
  • Patch 2.1 – A Realm Awoken: December 14, 2013
  • Patch 2.0 – A Realm Reborn: October 15, 2013

So, if the FFXIV remains on the same update schedule, we’ll likely see update 6.1 launch in March or April 2022. It’s possible that the continuing COVID epidemic and server hardware shortages might set push the patch back, but we’ll be shocked if it doesn’t release in the first half of 2022.

We are still unsure what will come with Final Fantasy 14 patch 6.1. Obviously, there will be new post-Endwalker story content, but nothing has been revealed yet.
