Thunder Tier One is out now on PC, merging top-down shooting with intense tactical gameplay. It’s a squad-based shooter best experienced with friends, but can you play it on console? While PC players are enjoying it, those on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch are wondering when they can get their hands on it. When is the Thunder Tier One console release date?
Sadly, it seems like there is no set release date for Thunder Tier One on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. It isn’t available on the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, or Nintendo eShop.
Yes, if you want to play Thunder Tier One, you’ll have to grab it on PC. The game launched on December 7, 2021 on Steam, where it’s available now. However, that’s the only marketplace to currently get the game. As such, console owners will be disappointed to learn that unless they have a reliable PC setup, they won’t be able to play it.
Of course, that doesn’t mean that Thunder Tier One won’t arrive on consoles in the future. The game is still very much in the early stages, less than a week into its life-cycle. If the PC launch is a hit, and the game grows in popularity and buzz, then developers Krafton could very well port the game to consoles. In that scenario, players on PS4, PS5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch would be able to try it out.
Until then, the tactical frolics of Thunder Tier One are reserved for PC owners. If we’re learnt anything from other PC shooters like DayZ, though, it’s that console ports are never too far away if a game does well. As such, keep your fingers crossed!
