Halo Infinite Not Launching

Halo Infinite Not Launching: Xbox Game Pass for PC crash fix

Many fans are having a problem with Halo Infinite not launching on PC at all while trying to play the latest Halo game through the Xbox app. While one of the big draws of the Game Pass is getting the full campaign as part of the deal, which has now been fully released on all platforms, the Halo Infinite Xbox Game Pass PC version is just not working or playing for a lot of people. Is there a fix for the Halo Infinite PC Xbox app not running issue?

How to fix Halo Infinite not launching with Xbox Game Pass for PC

Halo Infinite Not Launching

To fix Halo Infinite not launching with Game Pass and the Xbox app for PC, players must:

  • Make sure the campaign is installed. Press the three dots button on the game page then “Manage Game” and make sure the Campaign is ticked.
  • Install high-resolution textures and then try again, then manage the install and uncheck the texture boxes to uninstall them. Some players have reported that this allowed the game to launch.
  • Right-click the Windows button and Search for Halo Infinite, then right-click the game and choose “Run as administrator.”
  • Find Halo Infinite, Gaming Services, and the Xbox app in the Start Menu’s “Apps and Features” and then select More Options on each. Then choose Terminate, Repair, then Reset for all apps.
  • Go to the Microsoft Store and then Library, then check for updates. “Gaming Services” is an important one.

Hopefully one of these fixes will help although they will sadly not work for everyone as this issue continues to persist, with no response yet from Microsoft or Halo’s support teams. The only other option is to purchase the Halo Infinite campaign on Steam, which seems to be running fine but defeats the purpose of having the Xbox Game Pass for PC in the first place.
