Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse Character List

The full Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse character list hasn’t been revealed yet but the first look trailer released at CCXP has finally given fans a glimpse at the events to come in October 2022, all of which dropped right before the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home next week. The animated movie sequel will actually be a two-part story, and here are all the Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse — Part One characters revealed so far.

All Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse characters revealed

Spider-Man Across The Spider-Verse character

MILES MORALES/SPIDER-MAN (Shameik Moore)

Miles Morales still seems to be the lead character of the Spider-Verse animated movies, and the brief snippet of the story in the trailer suggests that Miles will be properly traveling across the multiverse this time, which is what everyone assumed the plot of No Way Home was going to be about — so it’ll be interesting to see if Miles turns up in that movie. He’s aged a little since fans last saw him but not to a massive degree.

GWEN STACY/SPIDER-GWEN (Hailee Steinfeld)

The other major returning character from Into The Spider-Verse is the popular alternate universe version of Gwen Stacy where she becomes “Spider-Gwen,” and she’s once again played by Hailee Steinfeld — who Marvel fans will now also know as Kate Bishop in Hawkeye.

PETER B. PARKER/SPIDER-MAN (Jake Johnson)

The down-on-his-luck alternate Peter Parker was a big part of the first movie but wasn’t shown in the new trailer. Fortunately, his actor Jake Johnson has confirmed that Peter B. Parker will indeed be back in the sequel.

MIGUEL O’HARA/SPIDER-MAN 2099 (Oscar Isaac)

The only other character who directly appears in the Across The Spider-Verse teaser is Miguel O’Hara’s future Spider-Man 2099, who is either fighting Miles or trying to catch him. Spider-Man 2099, played by Star Wars and Dune actor Oscar Isaac, actually appeared in the first movie in a superb post-credits stinger for the sequel so it’s fantastic to see the setup finally pay off.

Spider-Man Across The Spider-Verse character

JESSICA DREW/SPIDER-WOMAN (Issa Rae)

She’s not in the trailer but earlier this year it was confirmed that Issa Rae would be joining the cast of the Spider-Verse sequel as popular Marvel character Jessica Drew a.k.a. Spider-Woman, who will finally be making her theatrical debut before possibly appearing in an MCU movie. She’s also rumored to be the subject of a female-orientated Spider-Verse spin-off featuring her, Gwen Stacy, and Silk/Cindy Moon — who also may appear in this movie.

TAKUYA YAMASHIRO/SPIDER-MAN JAPAN

Co-director Phil Lord confirmed on Twitter that Takuya Yamashiro, the Spider-Man of the live-action ’70s Japanese TV series, has been designed for the movie and will almost certainly make an appearance — although how big an appearance is another matter, or who will be playing him.

PAVITR PRABHAKAR/SPIDER-MAN INDIA

The only totally unconfirmed character on this list is Pavitr Prabhakar, the Spider-Man of India from the comic of the same name. One of the main places Miles falls through as he is pursued by Spider-Man 2099 is somewhere with Sanskrit writing, so possibly India. It seems unlikely that Pavitr Prabhakar would make much of an appearance as they had a very limited series, but they would be an interesting and unique character to pull in.

Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse — Part One releases October 7, 2022.
