Halo Infinite Female Spartan: Can you change body type?

Halo Infinite Female Spartan: Can you change body type?

Bringing the multiplayer action of Halo Infinite to a modern audience involves a bit of tweaking the old formula. Player demands have changed since Halo evolved, and one of those demands is for customization. We often want characters that look like ourselves, which is why some are asking about the option to use a female Spartan. But does any such option exist in Halo Infinite?

Halo Infinite body types: Can you make a female Spartan?

There is no option to make a female Spartan in Halo Infinite. However, it is possible to change your body type and use more feminine sounding voice lines. There isn’t a female body type per se, but players can customize their Spartan to a similar effect.

It may strike you as odd, but this is a forward-thinking move on Bungie’s behalf. Instead of cramming Spartans into gender roles, players can simply tweak their characters to better suit their tastes. There’s a slider in the options menu that allows for one of three different basic body types. The changes are small, mainly affecting waist and shoulders.

Of course, since Spartans are covered head-to-toe in armor, there’s really no telling the gender or sex of the person underneath. The closest Halo Infinite players can get to making a female Spartan is to use feminine voice lines. Combined with the body type slider, they can create a character as masculine or as feminine as they like.

These are the basic customization options, of course. There are other customization options that allow you to fine-tune your Spartan’s appearance, too. Not everyone is totally sold on the idea of paying for cosmetics, but it’s not exactly an unusual practice.

You can’t create a female Spartan in Halo Infinite, but you can customize your character to make them more feminine. Beyond actual cosmetic items and skins, that’s about as good as it gets.
