Deathloop Matchmaking Not Working: Can’t find players fix

Deathloop features a creative multiplayer mode in which users can invade others’ timelines. At least, they can in theory — some are encountering the Deathloop matchmaking not working problem instead. But, what’s the deal with this networking issue? Is it a bug, glitch, or is matchmaking as Julianna just incredibly slow? Here’s the need-to-know info for invaders on the PS5 and PC platforms.

Deathloop Matchmaking Infinite Load: Why is it taking so long?

Deathloop matchmaking not working

Here’s what to do if Deathloop matchmaking is taking forever to find a game:

  1. Wait for five minutes.
  2. Check the @Deathloop Twitter account for any known issues.
  3. On PS5, navigate to Settings > Network > Connection Status > Test Internet Connection.
  4. If there are no problems, close the Deathloop application.
  5. Check for any available new game updates.
  6. Try playing Deathloop at a peak traffic time — in the evening or during weekends, for example.

If following the above steps doesn’t do the trick, it might be worth implementing some additional Dethloop network troubleshooting steps. They shouldn’t technically be necessary, as most internet issues would prevent users from matchmaking at all, but it can’t hurt to try.

At the time of writing, Deathloop is a brand-new game. New players have to complete quite a lengthy tutorial process before they’re eligible to invade or be the subject of invasions; as a result, it isn’t too surprising that Deathloop matchmaking takes forever so close to launch. Additionally, players are only eligible for invasions when opting in and when exploring levels with a Visionary target present. Since there are several disqualifying factors, even if lots of people are playing the game, there might not be many eligible candidates for competitive PvP multiplayer matches.
