New iPad Mini 6 2021 Home Button: Does it have Touch ID?

The New iPad Mini 6 2021 model just got an announcement at the latest Apple Event. The all-new portable tablet features tons of impressive upgrades, but — does it have a Home Button? If there isn’t a New iPad Mini 6 2021 Home Button, does the device support Touch ID? Here’s the need-to-know info on New iPad Mini 6 Touch ID implementation for Apple enthusiasts.

Does New iPad Mini 6 have a Home Button with Touch ID?

New iPad Mini 6 2021 features Touch ID integration via the Power Button on the top-right edge of the tablet. Unlike previous models, the New iPad Mini 6 does not feature a Home Button at the bottom of the screen.

It isn’t too surprising to see no New iPad Mini 6 Home Button integration. Apple’s iPhone range got rid of this functionality in the past, so now the California tech giant’s tablets are catching up. It results in a sleeker overall design, though it might take a little time for existing iPad Mini users to adjust to.

Despite that, the New iPad Mini 6 tech specs make the upgrade a worthwhile one. By trading off the Home Button, users get a 40% boost to CPU speed and an 80% boost to GPU speeds. This makes the device much more compatible with modern games and apps, plus more convenient to use for work purposes and general browsing.

Again, the lack of a New iPad Mini Home Button seems like a more than worthy tradeoff for gaining huge benefits elsewhere. Users don’t even lose the Touch ID functionality on New iPad Mini 6 — it just moves to the power button.
